Terms of Service

Effective September 26, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Focus IT Consulting LLC, doing business as Focus IT Development ("we," "us"), for your use of the OpusGrid app and the opusgrid.app website. By installing or using OpusGrid, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

1. License to use OpusGrid

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use OpusGrid on devices you own or control, for personal or business use, under these terms.

You may not:

  • sell, rent, lease, or sublicense OpusGrid;
  • distribute modified versions of OpusGrid, or present it as your own product;
  • remove or change copyright, trademark, or other notices in the app;
  • use OpusGrid in a way that breaks any law.

2. Your content

Everything you create in OpusGrid belongs to you. We do not claim any rights to your diagrams, and we cannot see them.

OpusGrid saves your work automatically, but you are responsible for keeping backups of anything important. Autosave and syncing services can fail, and files can be deleted or damaged by other software, hardware problems, or user error.

OpusGrid draws plans, lengths, and framing counts to help you plan, but it is not a substitute for a licensed architect, engineer, or contractor. Check measurements, stud counts, and code requirements before you build, buy materials, or rely on a drawing.

3. Ownership

OpusGrid, including its code, design, name, and logos, is owned by Focus IT Consulting LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms do not give you any ownership of OpusGrid or rights to use our name or logos. Third-party components included in OpusGrid are provided under their own licenses.

4. App stores

If you get OpusGrid through the Microsoft Store or the Mac App Store, the store's own terms also apply to your download and use. If those terms conflict with these, the store's terms control for that store. Microsoft and Apple are not responsible for OpusGrid or for supporting it.

5. Updates

We may release updates that add, change, or remove features. We are not required to provide updates, support, or any particular feature, and we may stop offering OpusGrid at any time.

6. No warranty

OpusGrid is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that OpusGrid will be error free, uninterrupted, or that it will never lose or damage data.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Focus IT Consulting LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use OpusGrid, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to OpusGrid will not be more than the amount you paid for it, or $10 if you paid nothing.

Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Ending these terms

You can stop using OpusGrid at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, your license ends automatically. Sections 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9 continue to apply after these terms end.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use OpusGrid after a change means you accept the updated terms.
